I first joined The Fairlight Players amateur dramatic group shortly after moving to Fairlight in 1996. The Fairlight Players were founded in 1950 and usually put on two plays per year in the Spring and Autumn.
During my time as a member, I have played everything from an Italian hotel manager in Derek Benfield's "Fish Out Of Water" in 1997 to a Detective in Ray Cooney's farce "Funny Money" in 2010.
My all-time favourite part was when I played 'Georgie Pilson' in E.F. Benson's "Make Way For Lucia" in 2005, based on the tv series - 'Mapp & Lucia'.

One of my all time favourite parts I have played. "Make Way For Lucia" received some favourable comments from the E. F. Benson Society who commented in a letter to 'the Players' that our performance was on par with something seen in the 'West End'. It was a real pleasure to have been involved in this production, acting along side some very talented actors and friends.
