Although Rother district council here in East Sussex had given us a longevity of 180 years before anything could possibly happen to our garden and property, we first noticed cracks appear in 1998, (see images below).
Of course we were devastated as six houses had been lost on the eastern side of the village - between the late '60's to the mid 80's and if nothing was done to combat this erosion, we together with another 200 properties would surely loose our homes.
