My flying days with BOAC and British Airways

1969 - 1996

I began my flying career as Cabin crew in December of 1969 when I joined BOAC (later to become British Airways). I was initially posted to operate the Vickers VC10 aircraft and the Boeing 707.

I flew longhaul for a total of 14 years until I transferred over to shorthaul flights within Europe and the Uk operating on Boeing 757, Boeing 737 aircraft and the A320 Airbus.

In my 26 years service I worked from a steward 2 right up to the position of Cabin Service Director until my retirement in January of 1996.
